It's almost a roller again. I just have to clean up the front wheel and mount it. I'll post a few pics when I get to that point. I'm not used to working in 50 degree weather, though!

It's rolling again! Next? Put in the engine!

The cold air (for Florida that is) was nice. It might freeze tonight. Had to cover a few plants outside.

In the past year, I think Rustoleum has increased the number of colors available in Hammered finish. They now have red. This might be my new tank and tail color. Gasoline kills this paint so the plan is to put a wrinkle black (bed liner) stripe down the center. It will go unnoticed since the tank already has a black piece of rubber in the center.

That thing is looking good, I've always like the cb200 tank. and that green they used is such a cool color.

I know a guy that painted his whole bike in rhino liner.

I'm actually going to have to redo the CB360 forks. The liner is flaking off. I've never had any problem with the stuff before. The Sportster tank I did is tough as nails. But on the aluminum forks legs on the CB, it just ain't sticking. My prep work must have been lax.

I went to work on the tank and the rust has grown and multiplied! It's so bad, its better to just buy another tank. I did that today and got one on ebay with no dents and no rust for $38 shipped. I can use the center strip, badges and petcock from the 1st tank.

Would it be a good idea to just seal this when I get it? Assuming it is rust free like the auction states.

I got the tank the other day. It looks great inside. I'm going to seal it anyway with Red-Kote to prevent future rust.

I had to order six cans of this paint at Home Depot last fall. The red is not even close to the picture of the can. It's a darker red so I'm not sure I'm going to use it.

Ever use that Red-Kote stuff before? I'd like to hear about how it works out, if possible. In particular, how it bonds inside the tank and if it's easy to get the right thickness.

I'm basically a Kreem user, but their coating seems a little runny. It's white so you can see places where it's thin and reapply, but you can never see the whole inside of the tank. On the other hand, I really like the Kreem rust remover and etching stuff.

I've never used it before but I bought a tank that had it done. It was hard as a rock and looked pretty tough. I'll post my results in the future.

Dang, it came in the mail today already. The next day! I can definitely recommend this ebay seller of Red Kote tank sealer. He's in St Pete.

I finished the tank today. The Red-Kote is a acteone smelling red jelly. The CB360 tank had minimal rust so I didn't prep it at all. I just poured in 1/2 a can and started working it around. Then I untaped the petcock hole and poured the excess back into the can. I ended up using 1/3 a can.

It supposed to dry in 24 hours. A paper funnel would've been a good idea as I spilled some of it. I wasn't too worried as I'm going to repaint the tank anyway. Paint thinner barely touches it even after 10 minutes for clean up. I'll have to sand off the spillage.

So, it looks like I got the whole thing covered on the inside. I'm anxious to see how durable it is once it has dried.

This stuff is still drying but I think it'll work out real good. To better describe it is it pours like maple syrup and smells 2-3x as strong as contact cement.

 Shocked

When I got home today I thought, hey, lets check the tank and see if it's dry yet. So...I put my nose near it and inhaled deeply....uh....that was a shocker because it wasn't totally dry and I got a big wiff of fumes. My chest still hurts after 4 hours.

Now, why did I do that? The damn can says it will lose all smell when it's fully dry.

I can't say I got any other effect from that inhalation other than the chest pain. But, maybe not. My kids were fighting for 100th time today and it didn't seem to bother me. In fact, the fights were so trivial they became humorous. I even went out and checked on my pet bees and showed no fear.
