Michigan 38 Notre Dame 34

Holy shit! That’s what it’s all about.

Tate Forcier (Wolverines QB) could be the new Tom Brady (in four years).

No worries…they’re forgiving.

BOSTON (AP) -- Three NFL players announced Monday they will donate their brains to a Boston University medical school program that studies sports brain injuries. Even though dozens of former NFL players have agreed to donate their brains after death, center Matt Birk of the Baltimore Ravens, linebacker Lofa Tatupu of the Seattle Seahawks and receiver Sean Morey of the Arizona Cardinals are the first active players to do so.

(Such a small contribution, don't you think?)

More than 25,000 years ago, on the planet of Argus, the Eredar race arose. They were extremely intelligent and had a natural affinity for magic in all of its forms. Using their gifts, they developed a vast and wondrous society.  mblah05 mblah05 mblah05 mblah05

SportsIllustrated.com: “The opening [Monday Night] game marked the regular-season debut for JON GRUDEN, the former Bucs coach and the most visible of a trio of high-profile broadcasters who debuted last week in new roles. The three-man booth can be a logistical nightmare because of the number of chefs cooking the groceries. But Gruden instinctively found his place with colleagues Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski. He didn't dominate the game coverage, showed a sense of humor and gave viewers some interesting nuggets to digest. "Tom Brady does more before the ball is snapped than any quarterback in the league," Gruden said after Brady completed a short pass to Kevin Faulk in the opening quarter. "He's going to motion a receiver across the formation, take a look at the defense, read to clear the blocking pattern, and make sure Kevin Faulk gets out in the route. Tom Brady does more for this offense above the neck than most people realize." Gruden played nicely off Jaworski. Both men amplified the other's points.  Obviously, it wasn't a perfect debut. Gruden referred a couple of times to Patriots lineman Matt Light as "Todd Lyght" (strangely, neither Tirico nor Jaworski corrected him) and claimed Brady was a global superstar. (If Tom Brady walked down the streets of Lhasa, Lima or Lisbon, we'd bet 9 out of 10 people would not recognize him. Gisele is another story.) Gruden also incorrectly predicted the Patriots would opt for an onside kick prior to their final touchdown. He later gave Bill Belichick and his staff credit for kicking it deep. Gruden was critical when he needed to be. Both he and Jaworski got on Terrell Owens when he dropped makeable catches. Worth noting here is that Tirico called an excellent game.”

Tony Dungy was also covered in this article.

If you saw the Notre Dame – Michigan game on Saturday, it was awesome. Not sure I particularly cared who won. However, Coach Weis (ND) has been babbling about bad officiating since then. That I think is sour grapes/sore loser. Calls have a tendency to go both ways.

One thing that is interesting is video of what might be a Michigan player punching and ND player in the jaw. Coach Rodriguez (MI) doesn’t think it’s a punch. Weis does. Take a look and see what you think:

That looks like a nice casual upper cut. Under the radar.

I miss Gruden here in Tampa. Our coaching staff is just boring. I don't think we'll do any better this year without him. It will take a few games on MNF, but they'll get better. Remember when Dennis Miller was in the booth? That was interesting.

Okay, but you don’t come out and facking say it, ya tool….

Yahoo: “Houston Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson was fined $25,000 yesterday for wearing customized cleats with the words "Pay Me Rick" on the heel during the team's season opener Sunday. The message was intended for GM Rick Smith, who had placed the franchise tag on Robinson after failing to sign him to a long-term contract over the offseason. After sitting out all of training camp because of the dispute, Robinson finally signed the one-year tender a week before the season began. It will pay him $9.957 million in 2009. But don't let the shoes fool you into thinking that Robinson is a guy only concerned about making money and not the betterment of the team. As he told The Houston Chronicle about the shoes:

"It's just a little reminder for myself what I'm playing for. It's a reminder that this is what we're here for."  tool

New York Times: “While shopping recently at RadioShack, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was approached by a woman with a seemingly innocuous request to take a picture with him. But an instant before her mother snapped the photo with a cellphone camera, the woman tried to take off her shirt. It's happened four or five times," Tebow said with a sigh. "Most of the time I just dive out of the picture. Some people can just be crazy."

Uh, her mother snapped the photo?  laughing11

Agree.   sleepy4   We've been giving them A LOT of slack here. No comments during the pre-season. Last Sunday Howe Long was talkin’ them up at half time only to have that second half meltdown...Ooops, I almost went off.   sad1

It was a punch…

(AP) —“Michigan linebacker Jonas Mouton was suspended by the Big Ten Conference for one game for punching a Notre Dame player during last week’s game. Video of the incident during Saturday’s 38-34 Wolverines victory in Ann Arbor, Mich., spread on the Internet. Mouton appears to punch lineman Eric Olsen under the chin as they get up from the turf following a play midway through the second quarter. On Friday, Big Ten commissioner James Delaney called the punch “unacceptable.” Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said he never saw the punch and planned no discipline against Mouton.”

(AP) — “California has added a home-and-home series with Texas to its football schedule in 2015 and 2016. The teams have not played since 1970. ”

Who cares! That’s what the AP has to talk about on game day? According to Nostradamus the world will end in 2012, anyway. Geesh!
