Made the 50 mile ride today to check out the Wauchula bike day. The wind was horrible, blowing me all over the road. But, it was definately worth the trip. I can see tons of potential in this bike event. There was probably 100 bikes. Charlottes Web sponsors the event, and they were there with beer for all. This may become a decent sized event as this was only the third one they have had, and the first two was during the brutally cold winter we just had. After checking out bikes and downing a few brews, we headed down to the Pioneer rest for a chicken gizzard dinner. Not a bad day, I was able to get in about 125 miles... It would be nice if it grows to the Plant City sized event.

I did the north country today, about 210. Seems like the wind started blowing like hell around one, or so. That’s a pain in ass when you’re just out bombing around. Sounds like new bike nights are popping up all over.

X4 on the bike nights, every little bar and resturant is getting onboard. But, thats a good thing. Around here, there's several bike events or "nights" every night of the week.

Got a 100 miles in this evening. The wind started about 7pm, but was not quite as bad as yesterday.

I was just down the road from Wauchula week before last (3/2 - 3/7) at the Pioneer Park days in Zolfo Springs. There are usually a decent amount of bikers that show up to check out the displays at the P P days. I will post a pic later of a bike that not only had a side car but had a small handicap scooter on the back of the side car.

You didn't give my girls at the Pioneer rest. a hard time did you?? Next time you go to the Pioneer rest. see if Denise is working and tell her Darrell said hello.  Grin

I talked to Denise last night and she was the one that waited on you. When you said she was kidding you about eating "catfish bait" I thought that was probably her.
If you get back through that way, be sure to stop in to eat again and ask for her and tell her I said hi.
